As a property owner in Dubai, you have to pay the service charges which are the fees to maintain the building. Think about maintenance of the pool and elevators and general cleaning.

The property has to be registered by the Dubai Land Department. This department will issue the ‘title deed’ for a ready property and an ‘Oqood’ for an off-plan property.

The rental revenues will be paid on a local or international bank account via wire transfer. Most of the tenants are paying their rent annually, which means that the owner is getting the rent upfront. If a tenant wants to pay bi-annually, they need to take approval of the investor.

In the UAE, there are freehold and non-free hold areas to invest in. ‘Mystique Invest’ always advises to invest in free hold areas to make sure you are 100% owner of your property.

If you own a property in Dubai, there are NO taxes to be paid. The UAE is a tax-free country.
